VICTORIA'S SECRET X LOVE & LEMONS

I was commissioned to write an original poem inspired by Victoria’s Secret X Love & Lemon’s Spring 2020 collection, featuring romantic floral hues, delicate embroidery and sensual but traditional bridal lingerie. An ode to hopeful spring days ahead, it ran on all Victoria’s Secret’s social channels—and hopefully brightened up a few people’s day!

Every Spring I Get This Feeling

Every spring I get this feeling,

Like hope but even sweeter,

Like falling in love with the world.

A butterfly pauses in a bar

of sunshine. A white curtain

turns shyly in the breeze.

Light, the color of butter,

Lingers, at last, all evening

Until the stars salt the sky.

The smell of lilacs reminds me

That the world is still blooming,
